For so many years of my life, Christmas and travel went hand in hand. Whether that meant a family vacation while school was out as a kid, packing up to head to my parents' house during college, or NYC getaways when my husband and I were newly married, I have always found the hustle and bustle of holiday travel so invigorating. Our December travels have slowed in this season of life with three young children, but I know that won't last forever. I love dreaming up new traditions we might start someday—maybe escaping to a cozy cabin in the North Carolina mountains, trading our winter coats for swimsuits and heading to the beach, or packing up for a cross-country road trip to share the season with extended family.
