Find all of the inspiration founder Lisa Kirk has rounded up for summer wedding guest outfits, plus the elegant, comfortable heel she will be wearing to every celebration.
As my husband and I started planning for the two weddings on our calendar this summer, I realized something. Edging toward our mid-thirties, I think we're winding down the "wedding" season of life. Over the last decade, we've celebrated alongside almost all of our high school/college friends as they have said "I do." Now, we're meeting already-married people through preschool pick-ups and the gaggle of kids who run around outside after church on Sunday. I don't know some of my girlfriends' maiden names and find myself surprised when they look different in the wedding photos on their walls (and I am sure they could say the same thing about me and my mermaid-long hair back in 2015!). I attend far more baby showers and baptisms than bridal showers and bachelorettes.
It feels like the beginning of the end of such a sweet season of our lives...and all the more reason to go all out celebrating the weddings we have coming up! I pulled together a rainbow of options for summer wedding guest outfits below. No matter the celebration, you'll find me in our Ella Heel—the style I designed after a wedding I attended in heels that pinched so badly, I could hardly dance during the reception. The Ella Heel boasts an 85mm block heel (high enough to look incredibly flattering, while still being easy to walk in), anti-slip rubber on the soles, and an elegant d'orsay silhouette that works for any dress code.
